Scenes are drawn in ASCII art of special kind. Read the guides in lower part of this page prior.

Descriptions (how they look like, what are their background, their related episodes in the game) about characters are here. I NEVER accept "I cannot understand" plea if you do not read them prior.

Now, all of the events, and also other facts not mentioned in history are available in form of normal descriptive chronicle. Since the chronicle describes events in chronological order, it is easier to understand than the story where the time axis swings back and forth.

These stages are all part of a saga called Hypnotic City, which depicts the events which takes place during final day of a fairy kingdom, plus some of events which happened in 600 years earlier.

Beside a few drawings of participants, everything is described using ASCII arts, made entirely using kanjis, which are accompanied by red English translations.
There are basically three things.

1. Real objects (including persons) are described by kanjis. "pavement", "floor", "Marquis", "minced fairy" and so on. There might be several layers of stuffs. For example, suppose someone was murdered on a stone slab placed on the floor. The scene would be described as

Mincemeat
Mincemeat
Blood Eyeball
Stone Stone
Floor Floor Floor Floor

2. Direct representation of an object. For example, Sasuyo has an up arrow, which indicates the spear she is holding (see stage 2).
Also, like in mangas, moves are represented by lines. ===== means something is flying fast, while =3=3=3 means someone is running on the ground, or, in some cases, someone is angry.

Note characters, who have limbs, are usually represented like in following examples.

a. TAkamichi is standing upright.

|
T
|/A\
|/ \

b. TAkamichi is frightened, covering his head with his arms, his left leg kicked up.

|<T>
| A/
|/

c. TAkamichi is running from left to right, with one of his hand extended and other covering back of his head. Also, he is very angry, puffing his breath.

|===== <T_ =3
|===== A
|==== / >

3. Speeches and sounds. Any phrase that ends with ".", "!" or "?" is a speech or a sound. Also, the messages enclosed by << >> tell that the scene has changed from previous scene to the scene now.
Best example is "<< 600 years back >>" in first picture of stage 3.

HC, along with others, uses certain affluent terms.

Deaaad! / Grrrgh! ... This is dying cry. Whenever you see this sign, it ALWAYS mean that somebody has died.
Minced xxxx ... Shredded corpse of xxxx.
Swoosh! ... A sound which a beheaded head makes when it soars up the sky.
Fragmented xxxx, dismantled xxxx, xxxx piece ... Broken or smashed piece of xxxx, which is usually a non-living matter.
Blood, gut, islet of Langerhans, otolith, involuntary muscle, and other medical terms ... Whenever someone alive dies, he or she leaves parts of his/her flesh behind. The bodily fluid and organs that flew away usually stay on floor. In some cases, they land onto someone's head!
Screws ... Something which tends to come out of a dying Deku android.
Censorship ... Presence of this word means presence of something (usually naked Marquis de Hentai) that is too obscene to display.
"Invisible to fools" xxxx... This nonsense adjective, taken from that fairytale "king's new clothes", tells that xxxx is transparent, or does not exist at all.
