She flees in sonic speed, generating sonic wave.

A trickster fool distinguishable by her large hat. Her largest feature is her total "invincibility". She is back alive when you are not looking even after you have thrusted, burned, or kick her down from 200 meters above ground. She will probably survive even after end of the world.
She made a thieves' band together with Mira, Nezumiko and Toro. They repeat petty ill-profiting business and pickpockets one after another, while only Nusumi gets killed. Nusumi is always carrying a rope. She does carry a knife, which she installed a spring in it so the blade will not stab someone.
As power of Grasshopper, Nusumi can fly low altitude at incredible speed (from 200 km/hour to sonic). She is quite dexterous.
Though she is rather tall including her hat, and her breasts are large (she measures 90-58-89), she leaves any observer an impression of 60-cm tall person. Though she seems to have pride in her amour, no one admits it. Nusumi has slanted eyes, which is typical of Grasshoppers. Her facial expression is usually one of two - smiling wistfully, or shedding tears shouting "I'm hurt".
She speaks a lot, move around a lot, has no concept of "risk", and is a strange jerk who tries to steal anything which might profit her. Her friends are, straightforward speaking, merely arousing her to do stupid actions.
She is usually living in a forest, but in the game, she arrives to Hypnotic City to grab and sell dekus to people with strange obsession to girl dolls.

She is really coward in fact, and lacks any combatting ability, but when she passes through somewhere in sonic speed, the sonic wave she generates send nearby stuffs and people flying. Moreover, she does not forget to pickpocket even when she is fleeing.

Robin Hood of England is her motif.
When drawing her facial expressions, refer to Koitsu in the manga "Shiawase no katachi" by Sakura Tamakichi, and that "kueeekuekuekue" which those in Dokuman's mangas do.

Idea of Grasshopper clans had been since very early stage of the game development, while Nusumi's form has never changed.
Role of Nusumi is "trickster", which not only Shakespeare plays but any story demands one.
It was all to the GFXer's drawing skill who situated her foolhardy attribute. There was once a slant-eyed hatted character called Reina in a MSX club game called Gals Quest 2.5, and I shamelessly asked author of Gals Quest 2.5 to draw Nusumi, whose outlook resembles Reina.
Formerly, when the story was meant to run around the Grappler, Nusumi was sticking around the Grappler. Back then, Nusumi was playing more important role.
Nusumi is somewhat god-like, but since Marquis de Hentai became a manifestation of the Creator, Nusumi became a really "unidentifiable" person.
The way that she has largest breasts among all characters is now almost of no meaning. Previously, there was an episode that she tried to seduce Marquis with her glamor, only to be smashed to death crying "why my glamor won't work!".
There is no meaning about the fact she has three friends. I just wanted something to fill her background.
