As her vicious outlook indicates, she is a real killing maniac. But at the same time she inspires the beauty of extreme kind. She is a comedy character, after all.
Like any Mantis clanswoman, she has an ability to transform her hands (more exactly, what is equivalent to her index fingers) into scythes instantly. After transformation, length of scythes are 60 to 200 cm approx., and at fullest, 20 meters. Note when her scythes extend as long as 20 meters, her other part of flesh shrinks (there is a rumor that her true identity resides in scythes themselves).
Her parts From knees down are wrapped in green crustacean shell, and look quite insectoid. When she suffers injury in parts below her knees, slimey white fluid flows out instead of blood. Note her legs are always in insectoid form, and never gain humane shape.
Her scythes can slice almost anything. Plus, Kamako boasts her ability to leap (while most Mantis clanswomen can leap only 20 meters only) 100 meters at maximum, while most Mantis clanswomen can leap only 20 meters only.
Her another visible identification is her right eye, which is completely smashed. Thanks to enemy-seeking ability which is native to any Mantis, absence of one eye does not handicap her, but anyway gives her a visage that you can hardly forget. Though she hides her right eye and scar by hanging her hairs down right half of her face when she is not in the palace, she often exposes her face to public.
During combat, light in her (left) eye is that of insanity, and her mouth usually grins in a ways that chills your spine.

She is very short-tempered and grows hot instantly. She often turns her finger into a blade and drives it into a desk even in presence of Sumeragi the king. She is very hazardous because of her habit to swing around scythes. She had been in Hypnotic City since before disappearance of Yumemashougun. While she is given a position of "stormtrooper leader", she has no staff beneath her. She is merely one of non-humanoid "mercenaries" whom Sumeragi hired.
On the other hand, she has unlikely strong taste in apple-flavored milks which you can drink at Japanese public bath, and lets Ginji to carry several of apple-flavored milk bottles all the time. Note Ginji has pretty interested in mature hips of Kamako, and he, who is daredevil enough to mutter "Kama-kama san's butts are great, don't you think?", is the only person who does not fear Kamako.

Mantis (whose society and clothing resemble those of feudal Japan) clanswomen should fight their mothers and then survive at age of 10.
Kamako lost her right eye then. However, her mother is still alive (Sumeragi "controlled" the reality a bit). Her mother still applies wet towel over her right eye when she (sometimes) returns to her homeland.
She grew up having a lot of complex with her visage, finally tried to put up with her outlook, and became a wandering stormtrooper. Her character keeps growing twisted since she cannot acquire normal jobs. However, her unnatural glamor enabled her to become a top waitress in certain girlish restaurant once.
She came to like apple-flavored milk after a plump Ladybird lady (Tenten) served one after Kamako mowed grasses for Tenten as a part-time job during her travel. She is quite "weak" when somebody treats her nicely, in fact.
Note, as you can imagine, her scythes are quite nimble, and she can actually make paper crafts very well, though she is bad at cooking since she gets mad too fast whenever she is unsatisfactory.

About drawing :
Kamako has a hairstyle which is same as that of final real boss in Justice Gakuen of Capcom, and Siva in FF7.
Color of her body is, like her hair, orange, but this is not a real skin color, but that of leotard suit which covers her body except knee below. Metallic plate which covers her breasts and look like halved bras, something which look like shoulder plates, and collar-like stuff which wrap around her neck, are colored yellowish gold.
Pay attention to her unique built, with American comics-features like "long limbs", "joints like shoulders are rounded and large", "breasts are quite large in fact".
There is actually no eyeball at all in her right eye, which is totally shut.
If you observe her closely, you find her facial structure is quite neat.
Note when she shows one side of her body during combat, she always put her left half to forward, since she right half is handicapped of sight.

Designer's comments:
I have made her as vicious as possible, while having "sculpted beauty" mainly in my mind.
She is based on basic instinctive fear that human being feels against outlook of mantis insect specie.
Her way of speech is inspired by Revolver Ocelot and Gray Fox (first time), who both appear in Metal Gear Solid.

One of her early setting included massive amount of scars hidden neath her leotard, but I decided to avoid that.

Elementary schoolchildren would really like design of Kamako. Traditionally, characters of this kind tend to have "sad background", so I wanted her to supercede such wimpish past.
