Stage 1, which actually does not take place inside the real Hypnotic City, introduces our stunning hero, Marquis de Hentai.
The epic called Hypnotic City starts with a dubious "submarine" infiltrating sea, with obviously unserious wizard holding a grail of aphrodisiac aojiru (Japanese "blue juice" known for its awful flavor) for himself to sip.
Another show-off is rather unusual kind of fairy - Kamako the mantis clanswoman, awe-inspiring murder maniac. Her inhumane bodily structure and vicious lack of right eye are enough to remind you you're not in kindergarten, but in a bloodbath of amoral half-insects. Her form includes ")"s, which are her scythes. Whenever she slices anything, you find "Slice!" message.
In last part of stage 1, you find gathering of the five Silver Swallowtails - Sumeragi the Fairyking, whose evil is not evident yet; Ginji, the fated old man who is unmoved by the sight (Ginji will play major role in stages 7 and 8); Iroyume, noisy woman who transmits image with her spray gun; Hagane the face-and-wings mechanism; and Akagane, a man-wolf who remains silent here.
Also, Yumemashougun the tragic being and mass-produced dekus show their form, though you have to wait until stage 5 and 7 until their full scale attack begin.
The title of stage 1 "The One-Eyed Mower" is dedicated to Kamako, who once cut the grass for Tenten (who will appear in stage 8).
