Dreamdiver chants three kind of spells.

Directory-G
Dreamdiver Ginji is impervious to any attack
from anyone other than himself.
The Dreamdiver is the 600 years earlier form
of Ginji. The Dreamdiver Ginji is a short
and extraordinarily handsome boy. While the
Dreamdiver has almost nothing in common with
modern Ginji, the Dreamdiver also calls anyone by nickname.
The Dreamdiver is extremely cold-minded,
and lacks almost any "heart".
Ginji was originally a "merginal boy"
who flots the border between different worlds.
600 years before Hypnotic City Defense War,
Sumeragi let him dive into mental world of
human as "dreamdiver" to control
the course of the world. Sumeragi then had
an ambition to gain world of human.
When the Dreamdiver dove the border between
human world and fairy world, a link to future
fairy world took place, causing a huge confusion
in the Fairyland of the past. The Dreamdiver
then destroyed (note : in the game, old Ginji
prevents this action) entire fairyland in
the future world. The impact of such holocaust
then transformed into the "reincarnation
energy" when it went through human world,
incorporating "humman essence"
in the process. Then the energy entered 600-year
earlier fairyworld, and fell above Mujinkin
the robot. Mujinkun then shot the energy
blast over the Imperial Creatures and the
Creature Keeper. Hagane then contained the
terrible reaction which happened then. Finally,
Sumeragi gave this polymerized form a life
of its own - Rei Lightbringer.
After appearance of Rei into his fairy world,
the Dreamdiver returned to era of War of
the Minions. Hagane and Iroyume blamed Dreamdiver
Ginji, accusing his dreamdiving as reason
why the strange Minions began invading fairyland.
Sumeragi vaguely had idea that it will be
the future Dreamdiver Ginji who would send
him the reincarnation energy, so Sumeragi
thought that allowing Dreamdiver Ginji to
dreamdive again might neglect course of the
history. So, Sumeragi then used his last remaining magic
to strip off power and memory from Dreamdiver
Ginji, and turned him into old powerless
Ginji, falsely claiming "this is punishment
for you".
However, Sumeragi kept the Dreamdiver's black
bandana as a key to release the Dreamdiver.
600 years later (in the game), Ginji puts
on the bandana, then his younger self, the
Dreamdiver Ginji, reappears in the Hypnotic
City.
The Dreamdiver Ginji exactly knows why Yumemashougun
exists.
Also, the Dreamdiver doesn't even notices
old Ginji (and thus letting him pounce on
the Dreamdiver off-guard). Old Ginji cannot
notice his young form is himself too, and
is convinced the Dreamdiver is his petty
imposter.
Dreamdiver Ginji is not a physical existence,
and is covered by Directory-G, the his own
thought, therefore no one other than himself
can hurt him.
However, in the game, old Ginji (who is same
person) who learns the weak point by instinct,
easily neutralizes Directory-G.
A dreamdive, which affects any human equally
in any time and space axes, sends huge shock
to entire of fairy world.
Once the dreamdiver completes all three sets
(Resurrection, Reconstruction and Reincarnation)
of dreamdive, the fairy world ends (in the
game, old Ginji distracts the Dreamdiver
before chant of Reincarnation).
The Dreamdiver shows ecstatic face, which
faces up, during his moment of dreamdive.
Note Dreamdiver Ginji is not worshipped as
"god", unlike Iroyume, Hagane or
Akagane.
About drawing :
Both face and body of Dreamdiver Ginji are
exact clones from Nagisa Kaworu in Neon Genesis
Evangelion the anime. You can find tons of
reference to Kaworu by searching through
the Net.
His outstanding black bandana is tied behind
his head.
The Dreamdiver is basically clothed like
Squall in FF8 (see following picture), but
please express folowing differences.
1. The Dreamdiver is not wearing shirt, but
is wearing leather jacket directly over his
nakes body.
2. The Dreamdiver is not wearing gloves (his
hands are always deep down his pockets).
3. The Dreamdiver intentionally is leaving
the button of his trousers free.
Though the eyes of Dreamdiver are supposed
to be silver, you can draw them black in
most cases.
From designer :
Needless to say, the Dreamdiver is the parody
of Nagisa Kaworu in Evangelion. His "Directory-G"
is nothing other than AT field, and his exposure
of torso and untied trousers button are frequently
seen motifs in yaoi (gay) mangas based on
Kaworu.
Like Yumemashougun, the Dreamdiver levitates
high in the sky untouched, and keeps destructing
the world, chanting self-centered barbles.
In the game, sudden change of situation lets
old Ginji to nullify his protection barrier,
then riff-raffs of comedy characters (Marquis,
Nusumi and Prototype Deku) easily get rid
of the Dreamdiver. What I personally prefer
to depict is the old Ginji, who aged while
retaining heart of a young boy.
