CASTS

Central character in this game. He is, while being a college-entrance exam loser (failed once), employs art of ki-sword (Aurablade). It's needless to say his practices prevented him from passing exam.
He does not have remarkable strength at this moment, but many guesses he has tremendous potential; that's why he is allowed to master ama no tsurugi (heaven sword), a highest sect among Sanjouryu techniques.
He enters this tournament as deputy of his sister. He is considering this as a test of his skills, but is he in a position to spend his time on that kind of subject?
A mysterious person which has almost no connection to the story despite his position as central character.
Style of fight: Shijoha Bujutsu/Yonha (4th division in Shijo-sect)

He is a ninja guy. Being (assumed as) rival of Eiji, he is a student of medical university. From the beginning he is a sort that has a wide advantage from position of that central character. It's not something like his family is a hereditary descendant of ninjas, only that at his age of high-school (he had been practicing various budos as hobby), an old archive he found by coincidence inspired him too much, and let him voyage around everywhere in Japan trying ancient arts of combats, and now he ended up this way. He is pretty nerd in fact. (^^;) He was once an apprentice to (now late) Shooga. After his death, Rohga is in charge of his sister Reen. He entered this tournament to kill its organizer Raltag, who directly assassinated Shooga.
To imagine a medical student killing a person without twitching his eyebrows, it's rather uncomfortable to think this guy will become a doctor. (^^;)
Style of fight: Self-styled integrated assassination

Japan representative for Mr. Universe contest. Upper body only, however. (^^;) It's hardly possible to understand why he has such an unbalanced body. He insists that the reason to enter the tournament is "to disseminate magnificence of boxing over the world", but boxing is already worldwide, and even if a jerk like him say that, entire boxing fans around the world would unquestionably shout back "you're not real!".
His existence is almost a joke, but his punches are real. He flies too. (^^;)
Style of fight: Boxing + self-styled brawl bashing

"He" is estimated as a cyborg prototype created by a certain organization from a certain nation. A brain from a daughter of a certain Ph. D. is included in "him", but technology of the organization erased any memory. Currently, a memory as one unit of warrior without gender notice implemented in "him". However, due to incomplete application of the technology, "he" gradually began establishing self-spirit, and is hoping to quit from the organization. The organization which already began securing environment to mass-produce Golden-type models, permitted "him" to quit in return of providing more combat data to the organization for benefit of "mass-production models". Now, "he", in order to acquire many combat data, enters this tournament.

Where she came from is unknown. She has a brother called Noznarg. He was named as one of strong triads along with Shooga and Megumi in last tournament. Through last tournament, they grew intimacy to the state of best friends; and Noznarg who was at very spot where Shooga was killed, simply stated "I'll revenge one who killed Shooga", and left for somewhere. Two years have passed since, Reia worried about her brother who never returns, entered this tournament, and started investigation.
Why? ... because, only person who has a possibility to know where her brother went, is an organizer of tournament and at the same time "one who killed Shooga" whom Noznarg mentioned... is Raltag.
Style of combat: Kokumyo Fudo Taijutsu/Do no Ho (Darkrevelation Immovable Physic-art; Law of Motion)

To make a man out of that elementary-school child who never studies no matter what anyone says, he began working himself out in school backyard hill, Furthermore, in order to preach marvel of muscle to mass, he decided to enter this tournament.
Style of fight: School Backyard Hill style brawl bashing

She is a sister of Shooga, the champion of last tournament. Though her reason to enter this tournament is to "revenge for her brother", but she herself does not seem that serious, and is behaving quite jovial actually. Rohga seems her favorite, and she is occasionally found stuck to him whenever he notices her. She uses techniques passed from Shooga, but she is still quite unskilled at this point.
Style of fight: Hoshinken/Fujutsu (Direction Deity fist; technique of cloth)
MESSAGE BUG PATCH FOR TILBURG'98 VERSION DISKETTE
Some messages were incorrect.
(1)
"Ragnarok" here was spelled "Raganarok" then.
(2) "GESPENST WINS" appeared when Doji Kawahara (green monster) won. Likewise, "KAWAHARA WINS" appeared when Gespenst (cool final boss guy) won. Pretty stupid...
Therefore, anyone who owns disk you bought at Tilburg '98 should
